Take A Look At The 2020 Supercross Tracks
The final pieces have been set for the 2020 Supercross season with the release of the track designs for all 17 races. Yesterday we got a look at the setup for the 50th annual Daytona race. Now we can get a better picture of what reigning champion Cooper Webb will have to deal with as riders like Jason Anderson, Ken Roczen, Eli Tomac, and Marvin Musquin look to take the champ down.
The tracks look pretty standard with the typical triples, whoops, quads, and sand sections. The Glendale track (round 4) has a really long start straight that should be pretty interesting to see how things stack up in the first turn. The only thing that really stands out is round 10 in Daytona. Are they really doing a complete mini 360 lap off the start straight or am I missing something?
Another interesting note has to do with the final two races. Remember back in July when they announced the 2020 Supercross schedule and we learned that they moved the final race from Las Vegas to Utah? Well they apparently brought along a Las Vegas feature to Salt Lake City's Rice-Eccles Stadium. You know how in Vegas the track had a section that ran outside of Sam Boyd Stadium during the finals? Well, this year the entire track is located inside the stadium, and instead the only time the riders will leave the inside of the facility while racing is when they ride around the stands of Rice-Eccles Stadium.
